Contract Amount: $5.8m
Size: 36,000 s.f.
Type: New Construction
Designed to be Italian-based manufacturer Pietro Fiorentini's first permanent manufacturing operation in the United States, this pre-engineered metal building houses 6,000 s.f. of office space along with 30,000 s.f. of production space for gas pressure regulators and natural gas treatment plants. Significant and complicated earth-moving and grading had to be accomplished on the hilly site before work could begin on foundations, made even more complicated by record rain and snowfall. Skylights invite natural daylighting into the open production space while sophisticated controls and building automation maintain HVAC and electrical systems.
In order to complete the project on time for the arrival of the specialized manufacturing equipment and the installers from Italy, close coordination between the Owner and Sota Construction had to be carefully orchestrated to ensure seamless occupation of the facility.
