This mixed-use project required close co-ordination on a tight urban site in order to create a building in keeping with the historic character of the Butler Street neighborhood in Lawrenceville. The scope of work included brownfield remediation, shoring, deep foundations, steel frame and concrete structure, and all necessary work to create the 15 condominium residences, three commercial condominiums, and a 28-car parking garage at the ground level on a sloping site.
The project is LEED registered under Core and Shell pilot. Energy-efficiency was very important and steps were taken to ensure minimal energy use with filtered fresh air being delivered to each of the residences through an energy recovery ventilation system. Sota Construction was hired early on in the construction process and played a key part in the decision making process with the design/development team to create this highly successful project.
