The renovation of this abandoned school created 55 affordable assisted-living apartments for senior citizens. The scope of work included considerable demolition, metal framing, new mechanical and electrical systems, a complete commercial kitchen, and exterior landscaping for a parking area. Residents enjoy a central dining area, skylit commons, and support areas such as a crafts room, a wellness center, and an entry courtyard.

The Woodcrest Retirement Residence is located on a hilltop with a beautiful view of the rolling wooded hills of Moon Township. The 59-unit apartment building, each with its own complete kitchen and full bath, enables seniors to live independently. With the support of Allegheny County and the benefit of Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, this residence is affordable to seniors whose income does not exceed 60% of the area median income.

This uniquely-styled building is located in the Hill District area of the City of Pittsburgh. The Legacy Apartments consists of 108 residential independent living units of affordable housing for seniors with commercial storefront space. The project was funded utilizing Low Income Housing Tax Credits, PennHomes, and Allegheny County Housing Department financing.

Construction of a unique four-story steel frame and masonry building with commercial spaces and artist workspaces occupying the first floor and 18 residential, loft-style, for-sale condominiums occupying the upper floors.This project was part of a community revitalization program in the center of the Penn Avenue East Liberty District. A tight budget and complex design added to the challenges of this unusual artisitic space.

Located in the historic Manchester District of Pittsburgh, these two buildings had become severely damaged from years of neglect. Sota Construction was chosen to restore these properties to their original grandeur, with 1100 Sheffield Street to be converted into affordable senior housing while 1111 Sheffield Street would become affordable family housing.
